A THOUSAND SONGS

When the perfect piece of music plays over a scene in a film, it just hits you. Then comes the dreaming and sculpting that accompanies the finalization—or the hundredth finalization—with the trusted voices around you, all in search of that elusive sound that will enhance the visuals.

As we settled into the long task of finding the songs for the film, it was our producer, Laetitia Miles, who had the idea of creating an online music competition to promote the film, engaging artists and musicians around the world. We posted on every platform available with a link to our website and the film trailer, and we ended up receiving over a thousand submissions.

Diving into these songs, we were inspired by the diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives these musicians brought to the table. From gritty guitars to pulsating rhythms, the eclectic mix of genres contributed to a rich tapestry of sound that elevated our film. This endeavor fostered a community built on authenticity, highlighting the very essence of indie filmmaking—collaboration, creativity, and a shared passion for storytelling.
